Vice Chairman Camisha St John was elected to office on May 1, 2023. Ms. St John is a second-generation Councilmember, daughter of Former Councilmember Carlisa St John-Brooks. Camisha was born and raised in Washington, DC, and moved to The Historic Town of Fairmount Heights, Maryland, in 1996, where she lived until graduating from Fairmont Heights Senior High School in 2000, with a 3.8 GPA. Camisha relocated back to Fairmount Heights to purchase her first home in 2016.
Ms. St John learned at the early age of 15 the importance of work ethic and has mastered longevity in the workplace. Aside from starting her own business as an Event Décor and & Rental designer in 2020. She has over 25 years of experience serving people, working for companies such as Rite Aid, CVS, and PANDORA.
While at PANDORA, Ms. St John works as the Value-Added Services Manager. She has also done volunteer work serving their Public Relations team. She believes her leadership skills and experiences as communications personnel, has helped reach residents to engage in ways that have never been done before across Social Media Platforms.
Ms. St John has spent the last 7 months as the project leader on revamping the Town’s website and is excited about re-introducing a Quarterly newsletter.
