Coming soon and for your enjoyment is the 60th Avenue pocket park. A request for a proposal was issued in March or this year to develop the known as Market Place into a community park. The town is seeking proposals from experienced companies that can design and install the park. This project is funded by a grant award from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Open Space Program in the amount of $140,540.00. The plans call for a splash pad, drinking foundations, 5 game tables, and several park benches. Prince George's County through its Clean Up Green Up Program donated all the trees that were planted last fall.
